Wideo Wednesday - A whole bunch of Dogs, Titans, Heroes and Star Citizens
It's that time of the week again! I've got some of the best gaming videos lined up for you today. E3 is now well behind us but we still have new footage of some of the big titles like Watch Dogs showing off multiplayer, and Titanfall which is shaping up really nicely. Company of Heroes 2, a personal favourite which came out earlier this week, has a single player dev diary. Saving the best for last, we've got some amazing in-game footage of Star Citizen. That's all I'll say, so check out the videos now!
Watch Dogs - Multiplayer Gameplay
We finally have more detail as to how exactly the multiplayer works out in Watch Dogs and I think it's pretty neat. What we see is obviously a big focus on the hacking mechanic and a lot of evasion that comes along with the "hunting and hacking" in this game mode. I'm also hoping to see more of other modes and how you can actually wreak more havoc in Chicago with other players.
Titanfall - Behind the Scenes
Mech on Mech combat, intense FPS multiplayer combat and fluid ingame animations, I'm still in awe from the fact that this was built on Valve's Source engine. This is a game built by former Infinity Ward people who branched off in a company called Respawn Entertainment. These guys definitely have the pedigree for building a top notch multiplayer game and I'm looking forward to this one.
Company of Heroes 2 Single Player Dev Diary
Released earlier this week, the single player dev diary gives you an interesting look into what it took to build an immersive eastern front narrative from a military commander's perspective during WWII. A nice round of interviews and comments from the game designers and developers give you some real insight as to what it took to put together another impressive rendition of the much loved WW2 RTS franchise.
Star Citizen - 300i Spaceship Trailer and Introduction
So this is what USD $10m gets us space flight gaming nerds eh? What this video shows you is the pride of PC gaming, and the sheer power of what high end pc games are capable of. We are treated to absolutely gorgeous ingame graphics on CryEngine 3 for what can only be described as probably THE most anticipated PC game or any game for that matter in 2014.
Have I missed any other great videos for the week? What did you think of my picks? Leave a comment and let me know, I’d love to hear from you!
