It's been a great week for game trailers. I have for you this week almost a half hour worth of ancient battles, steel clashing, explosions and gun shooting. So if that's your thing, feel free to kick back, relax and enjoy the mid week with these great gaming videos.
Total War: Rome II - "Battle of the Nile" Walkthrough Trailer
As a fan of the original Total War: Rome, almost 9 years ago now, this sequel is a long time coming. September 3rd can't come soon enough. The scope of this game is absolutely massive. It's set in classical antiquity and will focus initially on the Roman Republic, allowing you to transform into the Roman Empire if you so choose. Like with Total War games, you get to control thousands of troops in real time tactical combat. In this epic video we get to see among other things elephants charging up hills towards the Egyptian army. Roma Victa!
Mad Max - "Soul of a Man" Gameplay Trailer
Mel Gibson, Australia - The Game. There's been a lot of excitement for what some may consider the original post apocalyptic type movie, which has now turned into a game. Sadly the main character doesn't exactly look like Mel Gibson, also no Kangaroos. It still looks great, but the trailer doesn't exactly show much about the game. Release date is set for 2014, but here's to hoping we get awesome car battles in the final release.
Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag - Pirate Combat Gameplay Trailer
Pirates and Assassins? I'm pretty sure there was an internet meme about this some years back. Okay so they were ninjas, not quite assassins. Anyway an impressive showing by Ubisoft Singapore with AC3's naval combat has been turned into a full fledged game with AC4 Black Flag. In this trailer we get to see pirate combat gameplay. It certainly looks great!
What is Payday 2?
Payday 2's Game Director David Goldfarb, takes us through what makes Payday 2 different from the original Payday The Heist, and other shooters out there on the market. PAYDAY 2 is an action-packed, 4-player co-op shooter that lets you rob banks and conduct different kinds of elaborate heists. Think Left 4 Dead with endless hordes of cops instead of zombies.
Have I missed any other interesting this last week? What did you think of my picks? Leave a comment and let me know, I’d love to hear from you!
