Wideo Wednesday - A whole bunch of Dogs, Titans, Heroes and Star Citizens

It's that time of the week again! I've got some of the best gaming videos lined up for you today. E3 is now well behind us but we still have new footage of some of the big titles like Watch Dogs showing off multiplayer, and Titanfall which is shaping up really nicely. Company of Heroes 2, a personal favourite which came out earlier this week, has a single player dev diary. Saving the best for last, we've got some amazing in-game footage of Star Citizen. That's all I'll say, so check out the videos now!

Watch Dogs - Multiplayer Gameplay

We finally have more detail as to how exactly the multiplayer works out in Watch Dogs and I think it's pretty neat. What we see is obviously a big focus on the hacking mechanic and a lot of evasion that comes along with the "hunting and hacking" in this game mode. I'm also hoping to see more of other modes and how you can actually wreak more havoc in Chicago with other players.

Titanfall - Behind the Scenes

Mech on Mech combat, intense FPS multiplayer combat and fluid ingame animations, I'm still in awe from the fact that this was built on Valve's Source engine. This is a game built by former Infinity Ward people who branched off in a company called Respawn Entertainment. These guys definitely have the pedigree for building a top notch multiplayer game and I'm looking forward to this one.

Company of Heroes 2 Single Player Dev Diary

Released earlier this week, the single player dev diary gives you an interesting look into what it took to build an immersive eastern front narrative from a military commander's perspective during WWII. A nice round of interviews and comments from the game designers and developers give you some real insight as to what it took to put together another impressive rendition of the much loved WW2 RTS franchise.

Star Citizen - 300i Spaceship Trailer and Introduction

So this is what USD $10m gets us space flight gaming nerds eh? What this video shows you is the pride of PC gaming, and the sheer power of what high end pc games are capable of. We are treated to absolutely gorgeous ingame graphics on CryEngine 3 for what can only be described as probably THE most anticipated PC game or any game for that matter in 2014.

Have I missed any other great videos for the week? What did you think of my picks? Leave a comment and let me know, I’d love to hear from you!

Wideo Wednesday - Making sense of all this E3 madness

It's been a wild ride with the deluge of E3 announcements and news, so this week's video roundup will definitely seem tamer than the 9 hard hitters I posted last week. Not to worry, this Wednesday I've got you covered with some pretty interesting material on E3 interviews and coverage.

E3 2013: A Descent into Madness - Adam Sessler and Rev3Games

First up we have quite literally a descent into madness as the title of the video implies. We talk a lot about how crazy the news cycle for gaming has been over the last week but we sometimes don't get to see how that affects the journalists and professionals on the ground who cover the events like E3 and how that takes a toll on someone's mind and body. Poor Adam Sessler. This guy is one of the most respected journalists and he was literally dead tired and exhausted from non-stop interviews over the course of E3 (you can literally see in the video, back to back interviews). What's even sadder is that some people were even accusing him of being drunk on set during the interviews but you can clearly see how tired the guy is.

/r/Games gets indie with Takedown

Last week we mentioned that the subreddit /r/Games was one of the places to check out for some great E3 coverage. Following up on that promise, what we have here for you is an interview with Christian Allen, the Creative Director of the upcoming FPS Takedown: Red Sabre and some great gameplay footage of this game. James, Jed and I backed this on Kickstarter last year, and we're very excited for some old school slow tactical shooter action, bringing back the good old days of Rainbow 6, Rogue Spear and SWAT 4. If you are a fan of those games, then this game is for you.

The Verge's E3 Coverage: What is a next-gen game?

My favourite tech site looks at exactly what makes a next-gen game. This video examines the buzzword used to describe games, consoles, and their accessories. But really, what makes something next-gen? Check out the video for an interesting look at the topic at hand.

Planetary Annihilation Alpha Launch Trailer

Taking a break from the E3-related videos, we have here a really amazing look at the upcoming Planetary Annihilation alpha which launched recently. I personally backed this on Kickstarter some months back and although I only will get access to the Beta onwards (due to my tier contribution) I'm really looking forward to this grand scale RTS that harkens back to the Total Annihilation that I grew up playing.

What'd you think of this week's video picks? Anything I missed out? Please leave a comment and let me know. I'd love to hear from you. Or you could tweet me!

Gaming videos from yesterweek - I can't stop watching these dogs

I love watching gaming videos, in the form of news, trailers, previews or even Let's Play's it's how I unwind after a long day at work. I'm simply too busy to catch up or read during the day so I enjoy kicking back and firing up my favourite YouTube channels or gaming subreddit for the latest. I'd like to make this a regular series of posts to share with you the kind of gaming related videos that pique my interest, and give you some new videos to check out that you may have missed in the past week.

Watch Dogs Multiplayer Interview from IGN

First up we have an interview on Watch Dogs with Dominic Guay, Senior Producer at Ubisoft Montreal talking about how the singleplayer and multiplayer elements will have some sort of persistent tie in, he doesn't go into too much detail, but it certainly sounds promising.

Watch Dogs gameplay preview

More dogs being watched, here is an amazing 5 min gameplay video that shows you how dynamic simulated Chicago is, and the seemingly endless options you have to complete missions or tasks. As a tech nerd, I am absolutely loving the technology featured in this game.

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag - True Golden Age of Pirates Trailer

Let's take a break from all the dog watching and check out this new trailer of Assassin's Creed IV. Needs MOAR Johnny Depp if you ask me.

Round Up of my favourite E3 2012 videos

First up we have Watch Dogs, which looks amazing and is the game I am looking forward to the most. It reminds me of a cross between several games that I love; Deus Ex Human Revolution, Assassins Creed and Grand Theft Auto 4 all rolled into a giant ball of awesomeness.

Assassin's Creed 3 is looking mighty fine with this gameplay video showing off the American wilderness and some Red Coat stabbing.

Sam Fisher is back in Splinter Cell BlacklistIs it just me or does he actually look younger here? Gameplay reminds me of Conviction, but thats not necessarily a bad thing. I'm looking forward to some military stealth operative action.

Tell us what you think about this year's E3 and what games you're excited about here.
