Razer Naga Epic Chroma Mouse now with 16.8m colours and wireless
MMO players rejoice! One of the most popular gaming mice for the genre is getting a refresh with some pretty impressive new improvements. Aside from the iconic 12 mechanical buttons on the thumb grid, the mouse now features the latest RGB lighting that we see in many peripherals in the market, and has an 8200 DPI 4G laser sensor on a braided cable. The Razer Naga Epic Chroma also supports Razer Synapse which is a cloud-based driver that tracks most of the technical data on your mouse like game time, button presses, etc so you can analyse your gameplay and improve your gaming style.
On a slightly related note and I'm so glad I can finally share this story with you guys in the right context, I actually got to meet one of the inventors of the very first Razer Naga mouse recently. He no longer works at Razer, but Theo Sanders told me they initially conceived of the mouse at a time before the iPhone even came out and everyone was still using phones with physical buttons. They wanted to develop a mouse specifically for the MMO gamer in mind and had spent 3 months designing and redesigning concepts of where to place mouse buttons. Nothing seemed to work and button placement was sub-optimal. Then, one day he was at the MRT here in Singapore (yes, proud to say that Razer is a Singaporean company) and noticed a kid typing insanely fast with his thumb and the a-ha moment finally arrived. They hit the drawing board again and produced the now-famous and well-loved design of the Naga.
