Vote for our guild's homeworld

Any updates on where the SEA guilds will be staying? Will it still be SEA of Sorrows or have they decided on another server?

Just doing a bit of research to put some order in the chaos and here is what I've come up with. Please do correct me if I'm wrong

Sea of Sorrows - Major PH, MY, SEA and AUS guilds here

Gates of Madness - Recommended by Sharky and Major PH guilds will reside here (according to invader), AUS Guilds are considering also

Crystal Desert - SG Guilds will be residing here

Isle of Janthir - Mailed fist will be residing here and some AU Guilds as well according to Fist

Should we limit our choices to these servers? Do you guys have anymore inputs on which server is ideal for us to make our home?

Hopefully we can make a decision on the week (or before) of release so everybody will be on the same page on which server to pick

Most of the PH guilds are undecided, so for launch there are practically none on Sea of Sorrows that I know of. It will be mostly US and Oceanic/SEA. Gate of Madness was for BWE3 only, none of them have committed there for launch, and truth be told they only went there because they were trying out for the Titan Alliance but weren't accepted.

For launch, 2 pinoy guilds (including us) confirmed for Isle of Janthir, and 1 pinoy guild ([SWAG]) confirmed for Sorrow's Furnace.

Everyone else is undecided.

Just chiming in for the [FIST] :)

There is no official choice for our alliance (Pnoy/Philippine Alliance) for a server. Our guild decided to take the initiative on the Isle of Janthir because we didn't want to wait anymore, and we wanted to reduce confusion within our ranks. We felt it was a good bet, seeing as SoS (the 'official' oceanic server) and GoM have been consistently full the past BWEs. SoS and GoM were just the choices of servers to roll during the BWEs. For release, there is has been no decision from the other larger Filipino guilds yet.

The IoJ is pretty much "the other guys' server" and features a healthy mix of oceanic and us-based guilds.This is good for for a number of reasons. Historically in any MMO, the asian-populated servers are always the first to dwindle as the game went on. I don't know why this is, if it's just asian gamer culture to hop on to the next big thing or economic-related reasons. In addition, things will probably balance out after a few months. The WvWvW system should be able to match servers with the same elo ratings with each other.

On a sidenote, You are right that the majority of SG players are going to Crystal Desert but many of their guilds seem to oppose that decision and are looking at other servers as well.

We at the [FIST] would absolutely love it if the OMGk guys would join us. You guys seem like a great bunch and our philosophy, quality over quantity, seems to mesh well with yours. As of writing, another smaller guild is also joining us on IoJ. Whether the rest of the alliance follows is unknown. Last time I spoke to the leaders of the larger guilds they were hesitant to give me an answer for their final server choice, as they were still in talks with foreign alliances.

With the Legion of the Aguila going to Isle of Janthir, I now wish we go that path as well. I plan on representing 2 guilds with 2 characters each. I hope that's ok with the Goats.

You make it sound the Goats have won already (you maybe right though )

But yeah it's ok for you to represent 2 guilds, just hoping you would be more active with us though

My guardian and engineer will be yours, and those are the two professions that I liked most during the beta, so there's a big chance that I'll be more active with the Goats. My thief and warrior will be theirs since there seems to be a lot of spellcasters in their ranks. But I don't know if I can handle 4 characters. I can deal with 2, but 4 seems to be too taxing to ones social life.
