Crusader Kings 2: My time as the future Duke of Meath, and Rifleman's look at the latest DLC
Last night's CK2 game with Blitz, INQUE, and Rifleman was immensely satisfying as always, if a bit short-lived. We had to stop prematurely because of a game crash, and we ended the game with my Earl of Dublin a mere 40 gold away from creating the title of Duke of Meath!
Personally, I'd say the major highlight of last night's game was me inheriting the County of Leinster, formerly held by my father, by inheritance. Everything seemed ho-hum humdrum run-of-the-mill such-is-life until Rifleman made it known that he may have had a hand in my father's apparently untimely demise. Apparently he pulled it off so sneakily that no one even reported the death to me as an accident.
I was only too happy to accept the title and the gold, so I guess I owe Rifleman for whacking off my father when he did. Quite the audacious move, my good sir. Well played!
Presently, we're still out trying to fabricate claims on our neighboring counties while amassing gold and keeping our people appeased. Newcomers are very welcome to join in, as we're only a few years into the campaign and the rest of Ireland is still relatively intact and ripe for the picking. Or you can play Wales. Or the Isle of Man. Do what you want! We'll still play with you.
As long as it's within reason. Heh.
Another very interesting tidbit here: Rifleman has an informative post about CK2's latest DLC called Sunset Invasion, which involves the totally absurd and unquestionably awesome Aztec invasion of Europe. Pics and descriptions abound, so pay the forums a visit and leave a comment if you like Rifleman's early impressions!
