OMGeek was officially launched in 2011 by a group of PC gamers who first organized themselves as the “77th Infantry Brigade” in 2005. The core members are based in the Philippines and Singapore. PC gaming is our passion, but we’ve realized that in Southeast Asia, online gaming conditions are less than ideal.
It’s a fact that Southeast Asian PC gamers face a severe lack of reliable servers for the less popular games and non-AAA titles in the region. It is also equally difficult to find an active community supporting these niche or indie games.
OMGeek’s main drive is to provide actively administered servers for games that are often neglected in the Southeast Asia region. As part of our goal of community-building, we have also created a venue for like-minded gamers to gather and socialize. We would like to offer the gamers around the region the opportunity to experience a wider variety of games and to enjoy them to the fullest on proper servers with other enthusiastic players.
With these efforts, we aim for OMGeek to be a haven for Southeast Asian gamers who are as passionate about PC gaming as we are. We invite the players in the region to come together and play some games while enjoying the good company.
